TO A LADY, WITH A SON, whereon was painted on one side an
old woman reading with spectacles a crutch standing by her;
on the reverse, virtue, in a rich wrought but loose robe,
lookng upwards and giving alms in an inclined posture to a
beggar on the ground. 
  Mira! take this painted fan;
  Of it make the most you can,
  When it rises full display'd
  To supply the cooling shade,
  Read these maxims there express'd:
  Shade for man is sometimes best;
